The novel, The Boys In The Boat, is a classic sports tale that has an amazing fun adventure. The main character, Joe Rantz, has a long and hard childhood, but turns it around and makes the University of Washington varsity crew team. On this crew team, Joe meets friends that last forever and makes memories that last a life time. The crew team had wins, loses, and falling outs, but they always pulled through and found their swing. We recommend this book to anyone liking a good sports story. By Cole Ruark and Wesley Butler Love That Dog is a great book. It is a book written in free verse poetry by Sharon Creech. It is about a boy who thinks poems are all written by girls but realizes some great poets are actually men! Jack is very reluctant to share his poems with his class, but as the story goes on he finds that using his own life experiences make great poems. This book is a quick and fun read and is worth 1 AR point.
